Winner’s Perspective: Stephen Gill

Don’t just take our word for it – learn what it’s like to work in a collotype atelier from a past winner.

The HARIBAN AWARD jury of 2017 chose British photographer Stephen Gill as the grand prize winner. Stephen spent two weeks in Kyoto in 2017 working with Master Collotype Printer Osamu Yamamoto. The images created during this time will be displayed this April 2018 at Kiyomizu-dera Temple’s famed Jojuin. In this video, we sit down with Stephen as he describes his experiences at the atelier.
